White Post Cafe

White Post Cafe is a new bar & cafe situated in the super trendy area of Hackney Wick, East London. Its has the unusual aspect of backing out onto the tow path and canal with a tall thin wall that can be seen from afar.

We were asked to create a mural to advertise the venue and to design it in a sympathetic style to the bar which draws inspiration from a 1970’s office.

We created a mural design that played with the idea of the live/work balance. Using a mix of typographic styles to depict the words ‘life’ and ‘work’ which can be read in either order.

As sponsors of the mural, we also included very subtle Red Stripe branding, using their red for a colour accent and also a literal red stripe in the bottom corner.
