Claiming your own space in the very crowded sports market is no easy thing for a relatively new company, especially when competing against industry giants like Nike and Adidas.

But Warrior have made quite an impact in the European football industry with kit sponsorship deals for Liverpool FC and Sevilla, a growing range of bold and distinctive football products and a marketing strategy that breaks from the norm.

We’ve been involved with many of their marketing initiatives, and were very happy to work with them and their creative agency Wolfpack on their latest promo for the Gambler football boot.

To connect with a new audience and to continue with the disruptive approach of their marketing strategy they took a pop-up store in the heart of London’s Shoreditch. Keeping the theme ‘underground’ the shop was boarded up and blacked out. Key products were prominently displayed and comic storyboards from a specially commissioned book featured on the walls and in the window.

Paintshop was asked to continue with the Gambler aesthetic and paint the exterior and interior with their key images and straplines, adding to the design each week in connection to the regular events held there, building the intrigue and supporting the story behind the release.
